Snapchat

For a few years now Snapchat has been bubbling under the surface as a social media app and whilst many people have been using the app for some time, it hasn’t quite reached the upper echelons of the social media landscape, expect this to change in 2016. This year will see Snapchat really push the envelope with their updates, they have struck deals with several news sources and advertisers to bring users up to date news and an interface that is far more informative and user friendly, expect to see far more business’ using Snapchat to gain clients.

AR/VR

Talk of virtual reality has been around for years, in the 90’s we all thought that within just a few short years we would be living our lives through helmets and no longer be required to actual converse with real people. The realisation of this technology has been a long time in the making and this year we will see far more popularity in this end of the market. Augmented Reality is the blend of virtual reality and reality, a sort of life where everything can be photoshopped, this will be moved heavily into the gaming industry and there are already several products on the market. Virtual Reality will be used in gaming as well as several other branches of entertainment, there is even VR porn available now, the World of VR and AR is finally here and we can’t wait to see how it plays out.

Cloud Software

Cloud Software is becoming the number one storage option has big business’ look to minimise storage space and big data, this year we expect to see far more items being moved to the cloud and far more business done in this way. From large corporations to small business, all will be offering their users the option of utilising cloud software for their business for increased security and accessibility.

Device Mesh

As more and more of us use a mixture of mobile phones, tablets and computers to go about our day-to-day life there is a call for better integration between devices. This is especially important for those using a variety of makes and models and operating systems. We expect several solutions this year to help everyone fully integrate their information between devices and thus creating a far easier migration from device to device. We have already seen some beta versions of services and software that will fully integrate all of your devices from phone to PC, laptop to tablet and mobile phone and they look to have worked incredibly well, in 2016 we expect to see these launched to the masses.
